Channels SDK
The Channels SDK is an open-source TypeScript library that enables developers to bring any AG-UI (Agent–User Interaction Protocol) agent into Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, and other communication channels from a single codebase, eliminating the need to build and maintain separate integrations for each platform. Created by the makers of the AG-UI Protocol and launched via Show HN on August 6, 2026 (94 points), the SDK provides a persistence layer so agents maintain memory and context across channels, includes developer-operated direct adapters for popular platforms, and supports streaming replies, user-based authentication, and generative UI. Teams can use the Channels SDK to deploy AI agents where their users already communicate, reducing context-switching and improving workflow efficiency.
