AI PDF Reader Tested: UPDF on Papers and Reports
In partnership with UPDF, I tested an AI PDF reader on a research paper and NVIDIA's annual report, focusing on summaries, questions, and checking cited source pages.
Capptivo
Capptivo is a free, open-source screen recorder and demo editor for macOS, Windows, and Linux that gives your demos the spotlight they deserve without accounts, subscriptions, or watermarks. Built with Tauri, FFmpeg, and React, it records locally and lets you add follow-cursor zooms, click-based auto zooms, and editor presets, polish the look, burn on-device captions (speech-to-text), apply optional voice enhancement to clean up your audio, and export directly. Capptivo is MIT-licensed and accepts community contributions via GitHub. It launched August 2, 2026 and reached #2 of the day and #26 of the week on Product Hunt.
