AgentMicro
AgentMicro is a free, open-source macOS menu-bar companion for supervising parallel Codex Desktop and CLI tasks. It reads only local Codex session metadata and surfaces five honest states at a glance — thinking, unread result, input needed, error, idle — each row labelled with the project, current-turn duration, and fast-mode marker, then opens the matching Codex Desktop conversation in one click. Base mode needs no Accessibility permission and no account, and an opt-in enhanced detection mode reads visible local labels only, never clicking, typing, or approving anything on your behalf. It is built for developers running multiple Codex tasks in parallel who keep losing the thread of which one finished while they were elsewhere, and it deliberately avoids adding another dashboard, hosted task system, or automation layer over Codex. AgentMicro matters now because parallel Codex agents are common, and tracking their state without reopening windows or surrendering control is a real gap in developer ergonomics.
