Talon

Talon is a self-hosted, plugin-based AI agent harness designed for persistent, long-running agents with memory and multi-frontend capabilities. Unlike one-shot terminal wrappers, Talon runs as a daemon with hot-swappable MCP plugins, persistent memory (Mempalace + ChromaDB + SQLite knowledge graph), and frontends for CLI, Telegram, Discord, Microsoft Teams, and custom interfaces. It features five interchangeable backends (Claude SDK, Kilo, OpenCode, Codex, OpenAI Agents), seven core capabilities including pluggable backends, plugin architecture, long-term memory, multi-frontend support, Dream & Heartbeat background modes, self-hosted deployment, and a Soul Kernel identity substrate that persists across sessions.
